PREBLE COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Justin Tyler Barcy, of Arcanum, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal vehicle crash in Preble County.
Barcy, 26, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Eaton Thursday night.
According to reports, A vehicle was traveling on US-127 near Orphans Road, when for possibly weather related reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 10 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a pickup truck, operated by Josef Pfister.
The 20-year-old driver of the vehicle was transferred to an area hospital with serious injuries. Her passenger, Barcy, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Pfister was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
