FRANKLIN COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Samuel Caldwell, of Overland Park, Kansas, and Kaitlen Riley, of Concordia, Kansas, have been identified as the victims of a Saturday two-vehicle crash in Franklin County.
Caldwell, 20, and 19-year-old Riley, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Ottawa early Saturday morning.
According to reports, Caldwell was operating a Jeep Patriot the wrong-way on Interstate 35 in Ottawa, when the vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Volkswagen Beetle, operated by Riley just after midnight Saturday.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
