HALL COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — At least six people are dead and nine others hospitalized Thursday following a liquid nitrogen leak at the Prime-Pak Foods Inc. in Hall County, Georgia Thursday.
The leak left six workers dead, nine hospitalized with at least three transported in critical condition
According to reports, first responders arrived to the plant on reports of multiple people burned around 10 a.m. Thursday. The incident was later upgraded to a hazardous materials situation because of a large number of evacuated employees and several people experiencing medical emergencies around the facility.
The plant is located at, 2076 Memorial Park Dr in Gainesville, Georgia.
Five people died at the facility. Another person died after being transported to the hospital.
