TAYLOR COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Keith De la Vega, of Abilene, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal vehicle crash in Taylor County.
De la Vega, 31, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near south Abline Saturday night.
According to reports, De la Vega was operating a vehicle near South 7th Street and South Pioneer Drive in Abilene, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 6 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with another vehicle.
De la Vega was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The other driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
