PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Reda, of St. Petersburg, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a Friday morning fatal shooting in Pinellas County.
Reda, 30, was fatally shot at a St. Petersburg residence early Friday morning.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired at 541 15th St. North in St. Petersburg Friday around 1:40 a.m. When they arrived, Matthew Reda, 30, was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Jeffrey Paul Reda, 62, the victim’s father, was taken into custody.
Matthew Reda was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
