EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Gabilondo, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Monday in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Gabilondo, 37, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Baton Rouge Monday morning.

According to reports, Gabilondo was on-foot in the area of Siegen Lane and Perkins Road in Baton Rouge, when he was struck by a Honda Accord around 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Gabilondo was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma.

The Honda driver was uninjured in the collision.

Toxicology samples were collected from both the victim and the Honda driver for analysis.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
