KENNEBEC COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Scott Jones, of Augusta, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a Monday night vehicle crash in Kennebec County.
Jones, 41, was killed and a young girl injured, in a single-vehicle crash near Augusta Monday night.
According to reports, Jones was operating a Dodge Ram pickup truck in the area of 460 Eastern Ave, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle wrecked around 10:40 p.m. Monday.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
His daughter, who was traveling as a passenger in the vehicle, was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
