WAKE COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Michael Mutersbaugh, of McLean, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Wake County, North Carolina.
Mutersbaugh, 23, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Raleigh Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, Mutersbaugh was operating a vehicle on Interstate 40 near the South Saunders Street exit, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the roadway and made contact with a substantial tree around 12:30 p.m. Saturday
Mutersbaugh, a Yale University student, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
