SUMNER COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Kevin Moore, of Gallatin, Tennessee, has been identified as the suspect sought in the Friday murder of a woman and a child at a Sumner County home.
Moore, 41, is accused of fatally shooting a mother and her juvenile son at a home in Bethpage, Tennessee Friday.
According to reports, officers responded to a call of shots fired at a home on Smith Thompson Rd in Bethpage. When they arrived, Jessi, 31 and 9-year-old Zeke, were found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds Friday morning.
Evidence located at the scene led police to name Moore as the prime suspect. Reports say, police found evidence after going to his home on Murrey St, in Gallatin.
Moore and the victims knew each other, according to authorities.
Moore is to be considered armed and dangerous.
