CARROLL COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Kelly FitzGerald Caples, of Hampstead, Maryland, has been identified as the victim in a fatal domestic violence incident Wednesday in Carroll County.
Caples, 57, was killed and her husband, 59-year-old Jeffrey Caples, was taken into custody and charged with murder in Hampstead Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Kelly FitzGerald Caples was found beaten with a hammer and suffering from stab wounds at her home, located at, 2685 Day Spring Drive in Hampstead around 2:50 p.m. Wednesday.
According to police, Jeffrey Caples stabbed and beat his wife to death. He was arrested outside the residence.
Jeffrey Caples is currently being detained at the Carroll County Detention Center.
