GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Desmond Lama Parks, of Greer, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim fatally shot Friday morning in Greenville County.
Parks, 29, was found dead of apparent gunshot injuries in Greenville Friday morning.
According to reports, deputies responded to a call of shots fired on Old Easley Bridge Road near Stallings Road around 1:45 a.m. Friday. When they arrived, Parks was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds while seated inside a vehicle.
Deputies say they detained an individual they believe may be involved in the fatal incident and are not actively looking for any other suspects. The suspect in custody was not identified.
A motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
