TYLER COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Summer Stephens, of Kirbyville, Texas and Dan Summerlin, of Woodville, Texas, have been identified as the victims in a Wednesday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Tyler County.
Stephens, 33, and 46-year-old Summerlin, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Fred Wednesday night.
According to reports, Stephens was operating a Hyundai on FM 92 in Fred, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The vehicle then came into contact with a Chevrolet pickup truck operated by Summerlin around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Stephens and Summerlin were both pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
