BLOUNT COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Eli Daniel Curtis, of Oneonta, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday vehicle crash in Blount County.
Curtis 18, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Oneonta early Thursday.
According to reports, Curtis was operating a Toyota Corolla on AL-132 in Oneonta, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exit the roadway around midnight. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Curtis was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Family members started a memorial fund to help out with funeral expenses:
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
