WEBSTER PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Kimberly Cannon, of Shreveport, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday vehicle crash in Webster Parish.
Cannon, 35, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving two semi-tractors Wednesday night near Dixie Inn.
According to reports, Cannon was operating an SUV on Interstate 20 in Dixie Inn, when a big-rig, operated by Rickey Darden of Parkin Cross, Arkansas, failed to slow and struck the SUV. The force of the collision caused Cannon’s SUV to make contact with another SUV around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. The SUV then rolled over.
Cannon was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Both truck drivers were transported to area hospitals with moderate injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
