LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Charles Worley has been identified as the victim in a Friday morning vehicle crash in Livingston Parish.
Worley, 49, was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning near Watson.
According to reports, Worley was operating a Saturn Ion on LA-63 near LA-1023 in Denham Springs, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 6:30 a.m. Friday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Kenworth semi-tractor.
Worley was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the Kenworth sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
