WALDO COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Nicholas Day, of Center Belmont, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday two-vehicle crash in Waldo County.
Day, 34, was killed in a vehicle crash involving a dump truck near Morrill Wednesday.
According to reports, Day was operating a vehicle on ME-3 in Morrill, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The vehicle then collided head-on with a dump truck.
Day was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unknown if the driver of the truck, operated by Wayne company, C.H. Stevenson, was injured in the incident.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
