LAURENS COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Jeffery Lee Oliver, of Ware Shoals, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday morning fatal vehicle crash in Laurens County.
Oliver, 29, was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday near Waterloo.
According to reports, Oliver was operating a vehicle on River Fork Road near Old Oak Tree Road in Waterloo, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes just after midnight Sunday. The vehicle then made head-on contact with another vehicle before striking a fence and bursting into flames.
A passenger in the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Oliver was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
