COOK COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — John Roche Jr, of Chicago, Illinois, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Saturday night in Cook County.
Roche, 21, died after he was struck by a vehicle near Chicago Saturday night.
According to reports, Roche was on-foot in the area of 11100 South Pulaski Road in Mount Greenwood, when he was struck by a passing Honda SUV Saturday evening just before midnight.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene and fully cooperated with arriving officials.
Roche was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
