EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Jimmy Lee Blount, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal single-vehicle crash in West Feliciana Parish.
Blount, 47, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near St. Francisville early Thursday morning.
According to reports, Blount was operating a Ford pickup on US Highway 61 near La. Highway 66 in West Feliciana Parish, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then collided with an embankment and rolled over.
Blount was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
