SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Daun Sanders, the man wanted in connection to the murder of two people Saturday at a home in Shasta County, has been killed after fleeing a vehicle crash on-foot in San Bernardino County.
Sanders, who was wanted in the killing of two individuals on Gail Lane in Shingletown California, was fatally struck by a vehicle, while carrying a puppy, after exiting a vehicle following a wrong-way crash on I-15 in Ontario, California Wednesday.
Both Daun Sanders and the puppy were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
According to Shasta County Sheriff officials, police are now searching for 80-year-old William Sanders, the father of Daun Sanders.
Deputies say Sanders’s father William “Bill” Sanders has not been heard from since Thursday, June 25, and is considered missing and at risk.
