JASPER COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — RayAndy Ramirez, of Joplin, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a Friday afternoon two-vehicle motorcycle collision in Jasper County.
Ramirez, 29, was killed in a motorcycle crash involving an automobile near Joplin on late Friday afternoon.
According to reports, Ramirez was operating a motorcycle on East 32nd Street near Mississippi Avenue in Joplin, when the bike came into contact with a passenger vehicle operated by 23-year-old Michael Swanson on Friday around 3 p.m.
Ramirez, who was ejected from the motorcycle during the collision, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Swanson was treated minor injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
