LAFOURCHE PARISH, (THECOUNT) — Willie Ray Brister Jr, of Mccomb, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana Friday night.
Brister, 37, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a National Guard truck Friday night near Golden Meadow.
According to reports, Brister was operating a Chevrolet Tahoe on LA-1 near LA-3090, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 11 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then made head-on contact with a National Guard truck.
The Louisiana National Guard member was not injured in the collision.
Brister was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
