LINCOLN COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Thomas Sikes, of Edgecomb, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash in Lincoln County Wednesday morning.
Sikes, 71, was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning near Wiscasset.
According to reports, Sikes was operating a pickup truck in the 300 block of Bath Road, also known as ME-1, in Wiscasset, when for unknown reasons, the truck collided head-on with a vehicle operated by a 26-year-old female driver from Wiscasset.
Sikes was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The female driver was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
