JEWELL COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Scott Thomas Sell, of Hastings, Nebraska, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday afternoon semi crash in Jewell County, Kansas.
Sell, 50, was killed in a single-vehicle big-rig crash near Jewell on Wednesday.
According to reports, Sell was operating a Peterbilt semi-tractor on K-14 Highway near Jewell, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around noon on Wednesday. The truck then entered a culvert and rolled over.
Sell was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
