KOOTENAI COUNTY, ID. (THECOUNT) — Johnnie Laroy Longest II, of Caldwell, Idaho, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Kootenai County Wednesday night.
Longest, 56, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Spirit Lake on Wednesday night.
According to reports, Longest was operating a vehicle on Spirit Lake Cutoff Rd near Polonium Way, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Wednesday night. The vehicle then made contact with a grouping of trees.
Longest, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
