ALVARADO, TX. (THECOUNT) — Hayley and Hannah Underwood, of Alvarado, Texas, have been identified as the teenage victims in a double-fatal crash in Johnson County on Sunday.
Twins, Hayley and Hannah, 17, were both killed in a Sunday single-vehicle crash near Alvarado.
According to DPS troopers, the teens were traveling as passengers in a vehicle on County Rd 604 near Happy Trail Road in Alvarado, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then made contact with a bridge railing.
Both teens were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The woman driver was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
