SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Dennis Sage has been identified as the teen killed in a double-fatal crash in Sullivan County, Tennessee Saturday night.
Sage and an unnamed passenger, were both killed in a high-speed single-vehicle crash near Bristol on Saturday.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, Sage was operating a Toyota Scion at around 109 MPH on US-421 near Worley Drive, when slower moving traffic caused the driver to perform an emergency braking maneuver. The vehicle then crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Saturday night around 6:30 p.m. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole.
Sage and a passenger were both pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
