PORTER COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Ryan Greer, of Knox, Indiana, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by a semi-tractor Friday morning on Interstate 94 in Porter County.
Greer, 38, was working on the highway when he was killed after being struck by a big-rig on I-94 near Burns Harbor early Friday morning.
According to reports, Greer was on-foot in the area of I-94 and US-20, when he was fatally struck following the crash of a semi-tractor around 2:15 a.m. Friday.
Greer was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
