SCURRY COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Charles Gardner of Glenn Heights, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal three-wheel vehicle crash in Scurry County Wednesday.
Gardner, 48, was killed in Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash near Snyder, Texas.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Gardner was operating a Polaris Slingshot, when the vehicle apparently hydroplaned while on U.S. Highway 180 outside of Snyder around 6:15 Wednesday. The vehicle then exited the roadway and entered a culvert before making contact with a fence.
Gardner, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
