LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — A blaze inside a single-story commercial building in downtown Los Angeles and resulting explosion left at least 10 firefighters injured Saturday night.
The flames quickly spread to several buildings, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported Saturday.
The incident was initially reported as “fire coming out of the roof of a building” at 6:26 pm at 327 East Boyd Street, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

According to reports , about 10 firefighters were injured and their health status is unknown. Several ambulances, firefighting reinforcements were called, and a medical emergency area was established at the scene with stretchers located east of the fire.
Authorities reported that 230 firefighters responded to the emergency, including injured firefighters. After 7:30 pm, flames and smoke were still visible on the rooftops of the building where the explosion occurred and adjacent buildings.
