PROVIDENCE, RI. (THECOUNT) — Roberto Pichardo Mello of Cranston, Rhode Island, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday morning single-vehicle crash near Providence.
Mello, 22, was killed in an early Friday morning single-vehicle rollover crash in Providence.
According to reports, Mello was operating a vehicle on RI-10 near Providence, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3:30 a.m Friday. The vehicle then came into contact with a concrete barrier that caused it to overturn.
Mello was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
