ACADIA PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Richard John Koch of Rayne, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Acadia Parish Monday night.
Richie Koch, 38, was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle crash near Rayne.
According to reports, Koch was operating a Suzuki motorcycle on LA-35 near Standard Mill Road in Rayne around 7:30 p.m. Monday, when the bike came into contact with a Toyota RAV4 SUV driven by Vikke Wright Broussard, 62, of Crowley.
Koch, who was thrown from the bike during the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Broussard was transported to an area hospital with unknown minor injuries.
