SALT LAKE COUNTY, UT. (THECOUNT) — Miranda Schachinger has been identified as the victim in a Friday murder-suicide in Salt Lake County.

Schachinger, 26, was found dead Friday in an apparent murder-suicide in Midvale, Utah.

Issac Renfro, also 26, has been identified as the deceased shooter.

According to officials, SWAT teams responded to the Candlestick Lane Apartments, located at, 80 E 7800 S in Midvale, in what turned into a 3-hour standoff at a Midvale home.

At some point, police entered the home and found both Schachinger and Renfro dead of apparent gunshot injuries.

It was later revealed that Renfro sent text and picture messages to his friends admitting that he had killed Schachinger.

Police believe, Renfro shot Schachinger before turning the gun on himself.

The SWAT team sent utilized a robot to check movements inside the apartment before entering.

No motive in the killings was provided as of Saturday morning.
