SUMTER COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Eric Mitchell Blue of Florence, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Sunday evening motorcycle crash in Sumter County.
Blue, 30, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Sumter on Sunday evening.
According to the Sumter County officials, Blue was operating a motorcycle in the 3300 block of Broad Street, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Blue was ejected during the wreck.
A crash report noted Blue was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
