TRUMBULL, CT. (THECOUNT) — Corey John Iodice, of Iodice Family Transport, has been identified as the victim killed while on the scene of a fatal crash in Trumbull, Connecticut, on Wednesday.
Iodice, 58, was killed after he was struck following a major crash Wednesday afternoon on Merritt Parkway in Trumbull.
According to the Connecticut State Police, officials responded to the area of 15 south on reports of major crash around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, Iodice, of Seffner, Florida, was found to be struck during the crash while outside his truck.
Drivers of vehicles involved in the initial crash were evaluated by medical personnel on scene and declined to be transported to the hospital.
Iodice was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
