MERRYVILLE, LA. (THECOUNT) — Garland Royce Dailey of Sulphur, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Sunday morning single-vehicle crash in Beauregard Parish.
Dailey, 65, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Merryville Sunday morning.
According to reports, Dailey was operating a Chevrolet pickup truck on LA Hwy 109 near Bill Doyle Road in Merryville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Sunday around 7:30 a.m. The vehicle then entered a culvert causing to to rollover multiple times.
Dailey was ejected from the vehicle during the violent crash.
Dailey, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
