URBANA, OH. (THECOUNT) — Ashlynn Dooley and Jacob Smith, of Springfield, Ohio, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal head-on crash in Urbana Friday.
Dooley, 20 and Smith, 22, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Urbana.
According to the Champaign County Sheriff, Dooley was operating a Chevrolet with Smith as a passenger, when they were struck head-on traveling on 3744 Urbana Moorefield Rd in Urbana by a Ford pickup truck operated by 25-year-old Cole VanHoose.
Dooley and Smith died in the crash.
VanHoose suffered injuries in the violent crash. He was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
