ST. BERNARD, LA. (THECOUNT) — Ron Besendorfer, of Chalmette, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday morning motorcycle crash in St. Bernard.
Besendorfer, 52, was killed after involved in a motorcycle crash on LA-46 in St. Bernard on Wednesday.
According to Louisiana State Troopers, Besendorfer was operating a motorcycle on LA-46 east near LA-300 in St. Bernard Parish, when for unknown reasons, he crossed centerlines and exited the roadway.
Besendorfer, who was thrown from his Harley Davidson during the resulting crash, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unknown if speed and/or impairment were factors in the crash however, a toxicology test will be performed following an autopsy, reports WGNO.
The crash remains under investigation.
