BROWNFIELD, ME. (THECOUNT) — David Chute, of Fryeburg, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash near Brownfield Tuesday night.
Chute, 57, was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Oxford County.
According to officials, Chute was operating a Nissan Titan on Pequawket Trail, when for unknown reasons, he crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then rolled over ejecting Chute.
Chute was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Chute was not wearing a seatbelt, a crash report noted.
Officials saud speed may have been a factor in the fatal crash.
