TALLAPOOSA COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Notasulga, Alabama, Joey Wayne Nelson, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Alabama Saturday night.
Nelson, 51, was killed in a crash on Alabama 120 in Notasulga Saturday night.
According to officials, Nelson was operating a Chevrolet Trailblazer when the crash occurred on Pearson Road near AL-120 near Notasulga around at 11:50 p.m. Saturday night.
Officials said Nelson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to WTVM.
Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
