ARAPAHOE COUNTY, CO. (THECOUNT) — Charles “Charlie” Leake, of Denver, Colorado, has been identified as the victim killed while riding as a passenger in an Uber Monday.

Leake, 52, was taking an Uber home Monday night from Mugsy’s Bar in Denver, when the vehicle was struck by a Jeep driver who then fled the scene. The Jeep driver has not been located as of Tuesday evening.

Colorado State Patrol investigators said the driver of a Jeep crashed into the vehicle Leake was riding in. The driver of the Jeep ran from the scene and has not been located or publicly identified, reports DENVERCBS.

Colorado State Patrol was successful at recovering the Jeep used in the collision. The identify of any possible driver was not released.

Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident should contact police at 911.
