HOUSTON, TX. (THECOUNT) — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by three vehicles Sunday on Sugarland Howell Road near Taylor High School Sunday, according to early morning reports.

The victim, who has not been identified, was fatally struck in southwest Harris County Sunday in an apparent hit-and-run.

The incident occurred around 1:53 a.m. Sunday in the 7200 block of Sugarland Howell Road.

Harris County officials responded to reports of a pedestrian-versus-vehicle strike on Sugarland Howell Road early Sunday morning. When officers arrived, they discovered a man in his 20s had been struck and dragged by multiple vehicles while on-foot.

Deputies said two of the vehicles fled the scene while the third vehicle stopped after realizing a man had been struck.

Deputies offered no information or description of the two vehicles that fled the scene.

Investigators say they found a gun, ammunition and money in the victim’s jacket on the roadway, reports Click2Houston.
