GREENVILLE, SC. (THECOUNT) — La’Monte Simmons has been identified as the victim in a fatal double-shooting in Greenville Thursday night.
Simmons, 29, was found suffering from at least one gunshot injury in Greenville on Thursday night around 8 p.m., according to reports.
Police say, Simmons, of 125 Lions Club Rd, was shot outside of a Greenville apartment and was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
A woman was also shot nearby 14 minutes later and remains hospitalized, according to Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, reports WYFF.
The female victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Authorities said there is no suspect at this time and it is unclear whether these shootings are related.
Investigators ask for anyone with information regarding these two cases to call Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 23-CRIME.
