ALEXANDER CITY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Charlotte Smith Tuggle, of Alexander City, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday morning crash in Alexander City single-crash.
Tuggle, 47, was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, according to officials.
According to reports, Tuggle was operating a vehicle on Coosa County 63 near Coosa County 26, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then came into contact with a substantial tree before coming to a rest.
Tuggle was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Tuggle was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, reports AlabamaNews.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
