MCMINN COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Mark Richard Hart of Etowah, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a head-on motorcycle crash involving a vehicle near Madisonville on Wednesday night.

Hart, 69, ws operating a motorcycle on Highway 411 near County Road 410 in McMinn County, when he died in a head-on collision with a vehicle operated by a 28-year-old woman from Englewood.

According to reports, Hart was riding a motorcycle on Highway 411, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The motorcycle then struck the vehicle head-on around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The THP says, Hart was pronounced dead on the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The THP says it does not plan to file charges in the case, but the driver of the vehicle that struck Hart’s motorcycle was cited for driving with a suspended license, reports NewsChannel9.

The driver of the vehicle was not identified.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
