ALBANY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Albany man, Paul Barbaritano, who is facing manslaughter charges in the death of 29-year-old Nicole Jennings, is now a free man after being released over the state’s new bail laws.

Barbaritano, 52, was released Thursday after being arrested in July.

According to records, Barbaritano is accused of killed Jennings in the Campus View Apartments near the state office campus.

Under new criminal justice reforms that went into effect Jan. 1, judges can no longer set bail of any kind except for the most violent crimes like murder, reports WNYT.
