MONROE COUNTRY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Tamika Stallworth of Perterman, Alabama, has been identified as the suspect accused of killing a baby during a vehicle shooting on Christmas Eve, according to the Monroe County Sheriff Office.
Stallworth, 38, fatally struck a 10-month-old child in the face after she opened fire into a car on Tuesday.
That baby, identified as Jamaya Austin, died of gunshot injuries after being transported to an area hospital.
The sheriff says the fatal incident occurred on County Road 42 in Peterman, AL, which is located near Monroeville.
Stallworth was taken into custody the day the shooting happened, reports WKRG.
Stallworth appreared in court on Thursday, where she was charged with murder.
Her bond was set at $750,000.
