Spartanburg, SC. (THECOUNT) — Knowledge J. Geter, of Norris Street in Spartanburg, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in Spartanburg early Thursday, according to reports.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office says they responded to a call of a male teen with fatal gunshot injuries at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center Thursday morning.
According to the coroner, Geter, 15, died of gunshot injuries after being transported to the hospital early this morning.
Coroner Rusty Clevenger says, Geter was pronounced dead at 1:17 a.m., possibly from a gunshot wound.
Today, the coroner’s office will conduct a forensic exam to determine the exact cause and manner of death, reports FoxCarolina.
The case remains open.
No further details in the fatal incident were provided by officials.
