BURLINGTON, IA. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Richards the principal of Burlington Black Hawk Elementary School, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday morning vehicle crash, according to multiple reports.
The Burlington Community School District confirmed the death of 45-year-old “Chris” Richards Thursday morning.
According to a post by the school district, Richards was killed in a car accident this morning.
“Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues at this time along with the many children whose lives he has touched,” the district said in a post. “The Grayhound Family is united in grief over the loss of this exemplary husband, father, administrator and friend,” reports KWQC.
No further information was made available on the deadly incident.
Funeral services for Richards have not been announced.
