BOSWELL, IN. (THECOUNT) — Natalie Ramos, of Reynolds, Indiana, has been identified as the teen victim in a fatal crash Tuesday night near Boswell, according to reports.
Ramos, 18, was killed Tuesday night in a crash on U.S. 41 near Boswell, Indiana State Police said on Wednesday morning.
Police report, Ramos was operating a vehicle around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. 41 and Indiana 352, when the fatal crash occurred.
Police say Ramos was traveling east in an SUV on Indiana 352 when she failed to yield at U.S. 41.
Her GMC Jimmy was struck by a semi-tractor traveling on U.S. 41 by Matthew Vice, 40, of Westville, Illinois.
Police say Ramos was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the violent crash.
She was ejected from the vehicle and thrown into the median.
Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Police closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 41 for four hours for crash reconstruction, reports JCOnline.
